QSWWA Annual Dinner 2026 Click here to go straight to photos. In the middle of winter, when it gets dark early and cold winds blow up from the Snowy Mountains, it’s always good to look forward to a gala event where you know you’ll have great food and wine and catch up with old friends in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. That must be why the QSWWA Annual Dinner continues to be so popular, with all tickets sold weeks before the event. This year’s venue was Chiswick Restaurant, one of Woollahra’s finest eateries, and on 29 July, 75 residents and friends gathered for the annual celebration. As always, the noise levels were a good indication of how everyone was enjoying themselves with both old friends and new. The evening started off with bubbles and some delicious canapés. Guests then tucked into whole lamb shoulder with mint salsa, and roast chook with stuffing, served with a fresh green salad from Chiswick’s kitchen garden and roast potatoes. Dessert was a fabulous dark chocolate and wattleseed tart. Accompanying the food was a choice of fine wines and the service was exemplary, as it always is. We were very pleased to welcome as guests Anne Schofield and her daughter Tess, to celebrate Anne’s 50 years in Queen Street, and Alister and Elizabeth Campbell, to thank them for all the support that the Woollahra Hotel has given and continues to give to our association. A big thanks to all the team at Chiswick Restaurant for an excellent evening, to Paul McGuire for the photographs below and finally, a big thanks to Susie Willmott for organising the event so well on behalf of the QSWWA.
